My experience in construction and home improvement started as a teenager, working at a family run hardware store in Hawthorne, NJ (JP Home Arama). I made connections with plumbers, electricians, and specialty contractors, and learned all about home improvement trades. I used all the skills I learned from those professionals, and started fixing and building. It’s safe to say that I began working as a handyman in high school. When I was 20 years old I began my career in Law Enforcement, and 25 years later, I retired at the rank of Detective Sergeant from the Parsippany - Troy Hills Police Department. Throughout the years of being a police officer, I always kept busy on the side doing handyman work, and larger construction projects as well.
